Death Penalty For Rape?
Who, besides me, thinks that an adult should get the death penalty for raping a child under the age of 12? I say under the age of 12 because that is the new ruling they are deciding for a supreme court case. Personally, I believe that raping any child of any age is worthy of the death penalty. Now I am not talking about the 22 year old that slept with the willing 17 year old. I am talking about the middle aged person that raped an 8 year old.
Raping a child is unforgivable. It is pure evil and the world is a much better place without these people. I am a supporter of the death penalty obviously, but child rape is the only non-homicide crime I can see having the death penalty for. I know this question has been posed a couple of times already, but I would like to know if you support or not and why you feel that way, not just yes or no.

You're not the only one who thinks that my friend.
Also I believe the victims should watch them die just as they had to watch/see/feel/hear the rapist rape them.

If rape wasn't so broadly defined, I might say yes. I believe consent is consent, regardless of age. (Informed consent may be another matter.) As it is, I don't believe a person (of any age) who has non-violent 'consensual' sex with another person should get the death penalty. On the other hand, if violence was involved (which, I believe should be a requisite of rape) then I might have a different take on the matter.

I easily tend to think of of rape-quite the rape of a baby as extra awful then homicide (till torture or extreme discomfort is in touch in the technique of the death). i'm additionally a liberal who would not frequently have confidence in the death penalty. That suggested, the rape of a baby is between the circumstances the place i might experience extra comfortable applying the death penalty as punishment. i presumed the remark approximately it no longer being proportional to raping an harmless baby became fairly erroneous. on the different hand, rapists-quite people who attack babies- are frequently despised by way of something of the penitentiary community. this is humorous how no count number what crimes a guy or woman has committed themselves, they nevertheless discover ethical opposition to the crimes of others. baby rapists have a terrible time in penitentiary. Many are continuously overwhelmed or perhaps raped by way of their fellow inmates. i don't experience in the slightest degree undesirable for them. it truly is my desire that once a baby rapist gets caught and put in prison they go through as much as humanly feasible for something of their lives. that's what they have achieved to a baby-or many babies. they have probable destroyed a lot of those baby's lives. I truly think of that any convicted baby rapist ought to get carry of a mandatory existence sentence with out parole in a optimum protection penitentiary stuffed with the main violent criminals alive. actually, on an identical time as a liberal-i will't discover it in my coronary heart to care in the event that they do get carry of the death penalty which i'm frequently antagonistic to. If it saves different babies from having to go through the horrors that they are probable to inflict then it form of appears like a existence like commerce.

How about, death penalty for all "true" rapes. As you say, 22 year old and 17 year old, not really what I would construe as a real rape. If a girl is 5 and is raped, or if a woman who is 25 is raped, I am all for either rapist being hung! Rape by force is what I am getting at!

Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which covers all servicemembers...the maximum penalty for rape is Death.
We need to use it more often.
You raped a child? You go right to the front of the line bubba...it should occur within days...not DECADES.

all sentiments aside - rape is not classified as a capital crime, unless the law is changed it simply is not.
i do not believe that there is a need to call for the death penalty. in the whole u.s. prison system there is no lower creature then a child molester or rapist - there is such a thing as honor among convicts and in all likelihood a child molester/rapist either spends his time in solitary confinement, protective custody as it is called or he will find himself killed within the walls.
he is living in fear 24 hours a day - and you know what, that beats having lengthy litigation and the cost of a execution to bear.
give it some thought.

No, it is never right to kill. As a society, we have to remove some people permanently from our community, but we don't have the right to terminate any life.
Financially speaking, death penalty trials typically cost more than the cost of keeping someone in jail for life; so in terms of taxes, it's also more efficient to lock them up for life.

What an ugly concept. Rape is horrible, one of the worst things that can happen to a person. However, I was always taught that murder was kinda bad too, even when state-sponsored. I'm not a Christian by any means, but wasn't Jesus' death state-sponsored?
All I'm saying is that most rapists were victims themselves. They've lost my pity by hurting others, but we can contain them, and we can rehabilitate them. We can also sterilize them.

Only if DNA evidence is a requirement. We can't afford to be putting innocent people to death - it undermines the integrity of the entire justice system.
