windows movie maker?

I need to add some video clips to windows movie maker but it says it doesnt support my video format it is like a mpeg2 or 4 format is there any codec's that I can download that will make it work in windows movie maker? thanks alot.

    Windows movie maker doesn't play well with MPEG files, even if the appropriate codecs are installed on your system. It's mainly for working with AVI files and can export / compress to a few different file types.     Ulead VideoStudio is excellent for working with video in just about any format. Expensive... There's Ares and LimeWire...
