Good excuse for not showing early for a school thing?

I've always found that the truth is the best excuse for anything.

Good one: Couldn't show up because you spent almost the whole night at one your Family's member bedside since they were not doing too good and you had to be there for emotional support. (You couldn't show up early because you were at the Hospital almost all through the night and you were too exhausted to come in early). hehehe

You probably should be more specific as to what kind of "school thing" you are talking about.

Regardless of what it is, don't just "forget". You could be leaving others high & dry and embarrassed. Be responsible and honest, and just explain why you don't wish to do it.

There are no good excuses. Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to. Deal with it.
