Are you suppose to shave your stomach if you are a female?

If your stomach is hairy should you shave it (being a teenage female)?

Update:

not very hairy...jus a little line of hairs running from the pubic area up...

Define "hairy." If you're talking about the little trail of fine hairs that sometimes runs from the belly button to the pubic area, that's perfectly natural. If its REALLY think and dark, then you might want to use Nair or wax it, but NEVER shave....it will just come in thicker.

How hairy ? Just a few little hairs (or light colored hairs) below the belly button are normal or common anyways. If you have a lot of hair you should check with a doctor and make sure you don't have a hormonal imbalance.

Ask your mom and dad and see if this is heredity. It can run in families and might be normal for youl

It's normal to have some light peachfuzz from your abdomen up your stomach. Some will even be alittle dark. But if you continue to shave it may make them thicker and darker. If anything use nair.....that may be your best bet. Or wax. They also have things called Epilators I recently heard about. It's like a bunch of tweezers in one. Haven't tried it yet but want to.

It's bad enough that we're expected to be hairless just about everywhere on our bodies.

don't start another trend that we women should start shaving our stomachs too

You can, or waxing would be even better so you don't have any stubblies.
