I wake up with anxiety, but when I take 150 mg of trazadone i sleep the whole night and there is no anxiety when I wake up. Don't be so concerned with the meds that your friend is taking. If you just met him and don't think you can deal with someone with depression be honest with yourself and don't lead him on. Those of us with depression are often very lonely and being in a good relationship would be helpful. If you have concerns, though, best to stay away.
