Basic White Cupcakes?

dd wants cupcakes. i need a quick basic recipe for white cake cupcakes and i don't have time to search for the perfect one. i'm not going to the store, so here's what i have on hand:

regular and cake flour

eggs

butter and shortning

whole milk

all the pantry basics (baking powder/soda, vanilla, salt, etc.)

i only need/want to make 1 dozen. not worried about frosting, i can cover that.

    INGREDIENTS

    1 cup white sugar

    1/2 cup butter

    2 eggs

    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder

    1/2 cup milk

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a muffin pan with paper liners.

    In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Separate the egg whites and toss the yolks. Beat in the egg whites, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Finally stir in the milk until batter is smooth. Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan.

    Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

    Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. For cupcakes, bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.

    ingredients

    3 cups all-purpose flour

    2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    2/3 cups unsalted butter, softened

    1 3/4 cups sugar

    2 eggs

    1 1/4 cups whole milk

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract preparation

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare cupcake tins as directed as directed in the recipe you are following.

    2. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl.

    3. In a separate, larger bowl, cream the butter. Gradually add the sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.

    4. Add the eggs one at a time, and beat well after each addition.

    5. In a small bowl, combine the milk and vanilla.

    6. To the butter mixture, add about one quarter of the flour mixture and mix well. Add about one quarter of the milk mixture and mix well. Continue alternating the flour mixture and milk mixture, beating after each addition until smooth.

    7. Pour the batter into the cupcake tins. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cake springs back when touched.

    8. Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes, then turn the cupcakes out of the tins and onto a rack to finish cooling completely

    HI! I know a recipe!

    Here's a recipe for cupcakes: KEY: tsp.= teaspoon ; c = cup

    1c. of butter

    2c. of sugar

    4 eggs

    About 4c. of sifted all purpose flour

    1tsp. of vanilla

    1tsp. of ground nutmeg

    1/2 tsp.of soda

    1 c. of milk

    Cream butter and sugar until well blended. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Sift flour and add nutmeg and soda. Add to mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Pour into cupcake pans and bake at 350 degrees at 30 minutes. Yield at 3 dozen.
