What can I do about the noise in my washing machine?

I WAS PLANNING ON TAKING IT APART THIS WEEKEND BUT I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD BE EXPECTING IN THERE? ANY HELP???

Update:

it sounds like a belt or something is loose and it squeeks when it runs a cycle.

Unplug it before taking it apart.

    Turn off the water.

Use bright lights to illuminate the work area.

Research the model washing machine on the internet...you may find a pdf of the machine you have with assembly diagrams.

    Good luck.

when you say noise, not exactly sure what your talking about....

one important thing with a washing machine is to get it level...if it is not it can make all kinds if noises.....so put a leveler on it both ways and adjust legs...

    my 2 cents...........

Most newer washers isn't belt driven anymore, it all transmition gears. Unless you know what your doing.....don't go there!
