87 toyota celica making hissing noise in the engine btwn 30-40mph?
It just happened today. When accelerating from 0-25 mph, it is normal, but after 30-35, there's a high pitch hissing noise coming from the engine. When I put my clutch in, the noise stops....can someone diagnose this - I'd like to take my car in but I don't know what kind of repairs I'm looking at...thanks!

get the clutch assembly looked at soon, befor it gets expensive.

hard to say without looking under hood but hissing noises could be from a vaccum leak check hoses for cracking or brittleness. rubber deteriorates over time may becomes porous.
