Is there any logic to this?

I recently answered a PC question. Later, I checked back to find out what was the best answer. The person who won best answer advised the questioner to use a certain program to solve the problem. The questioner chose this answer and then stated that the "program does not work". Please, can anyone find the logic in this?

Well, if the asker thinks that was the best answer, what can we do about it :)

There s no logic to subjective selection :)

LOL, this is far from a perfect system... Both askers and answerers often make crazy posts.

What kills me are the people who post answers just to get points, without even fully reading the question. And the people who make authoritative-sounding answers to subjects they are obviously not an authority. LOL There's a "Top" answerer in this very section that does it all the time.

Its up to the questioner to decide which answer she/he likes best! Its not up to you!
