I think I'm insane...?
I'm usually a happy go lucky kid. The kid that always smiled and danced and was really creative. But in my 7th period class on fridays, we have discussions. And 2 weeks ago we had one on imagination. Everyone at school knows me for my wild and crazy imagination. My friends only knew about the good stuff though. But we got deep in the discussion and I explained how I can imagine a fluffy kitty cat in a tree and an old lady at the bottomand then five minutes later I'll be in the car driving over a bridge and picture my dad falling asleep and us going over the side and I have to plan really fast how to get out of the car, get him out, and swim to the side and call for help. I plan everything from what I'll do and say to what I'll think and how my emotions will react. And it will get really bad to the point where I can't remember if I imagined something like painting my name with glue happened or not. And if I ask my parents they say I'm crazy. Am I really crazy? What should I do? Help!
The painting my name with glue. I have this really vivid imagination of me as a young girl in an old church kind of classroom, and remember the blue glitter glue that all the kids had? We had to paint our names with it on our white paper and set it outside with blocks on the corners. And I can remember what it felt like and what the yard looked like and everything, just not the people with me. But i asked my parents about it and they said it never happened before.

I agree with "Augie." It is completely untrue that being able to ask the question 'am i sane?' means that you are sane.
A lot of people go through their lives thinking their behavior or an aspect of their routines is normal and it isn't. When they find that not many other people share such a behavior, they question the normality of it. Being able to question it doesn't make you sane.
However, I am not saying that you are not sane. What you've described are events you see or remember with very vivid details. While imagination does have something to do with it, I think that there is probably a little more behind it.
I think it would be wise to talk with your school counselor or seek counseling on the matter to be sure. There's nothing wrong with talking out something like this even if people may not believe it's an actual problem.
I really hope this helps because I can identify with a bit of what you're saying.

No, you're not crazy on the basis of what you've said, you just have a vivid imagination. If you truly can't distinguish from what you've imagined and reality, that could be a problem, however, especially if it is strong enough to be on your mind often. Don't be distracted by your parents' seeming lack of concern - being a parent is a hard road, too, sometimes, and sometimes parents simply forget the seriousness of being your age, and they might not realize the problems that you face daily. If you can talk to them, do that, if not, If your school has a nurse or a counselor, ask to see them.

NUMBER #1 It is Bull $hit that if you question your sanity you can not be insane!!!!!!!! Well I do not think that You are "insane" or "crazy", I suffer from this too and as I have gotten older discovered that I am also depressed and prone to suffer from anxiety. I have been seeing a therapist for about 3 years now and it has helped a little. So you might also speak to someone other than your parents, school councilor?, favorite aunt? teacher?, you need to get some one on your side who won't ridicule you about this. BUT this IS something that you should be getting help for and it should not be just written off as an overactive imagination!!!!

First of all if you can ask yourself that question, it shows that you aren't.
I don't understand the part of remembering about painting your name with glue. Is this an early childhood memory?
Remember we use different parts of our brains for long term, short term memory, and imagination.
I don't think you're crazy, especially if you can self criticize your actions / behaviours. I think you are just blessed with a very active imagination.

Well, usually if you question whether you are sane, you are.
Sounds to me like you are a young person with an active imagination. Nothing wrong here.

for one, crazy people are not aware they are crazy....
another thing, i don't think it was right for your parents to say that you are.
these images in your head, they're coming from somewhere... maybe something you experienced in the past, something about you that you have difficulty accepting... it's hard to say what... but it's coming from somewhere...
if you can't figure it out, ask for help from someone you know who can ...

I have been like that ever since I was a child. I have never told anybody though.

the only thing that comes to mind is that you are overthinking things way too much.
