  • Why do I have to always map a network drive?

I get disconnected from a network drive everytime I shut down/log off/restart my computer.

I use two network drives. One drives stays mapped, but the other one disconnects.

It didn't use to be this way.

    Got any advice for me?

How can I map it so that it doesn't disconnect whenever I log off?

    Thank you.

  • Question about Japanese grammar?

    こんにちわ!

Can someone explain how to use:

    ~te kure

    ~te kurete

    ~te kureta

It is added after the verb, correct?

    For example:

    上げてくれ

    上げてくれて

    上げてくれた

What do they mean? How are they used.

    よろしく おねがいします.

Oh, please write in romaji. I am still very slow in reading kana and kanji. Thank you.

    3. Also, can you give me some common Australian idioms and slang (with explanations please)?

  • Who is Amelia Earhart to you?

Yes, we know who she is. I'm posting this question because I'm interested to know who Amelia Earhart is to particular people.

Did her accomplishments make an impact to you, a group you are affiliated with, or to someone you know?

I'm writing a paper about her. And I have information about her, I just want to give my paper a more personal slant. Thanks for your input.

  • Are there still No-Pan Kissa and No-Pan Yakiniku (or similar places) in Japan?

I understand that this may seem like an "adult-material" question. But I'm asking this question simply to understand what it is. I write for a magazine, and my editor asked me to write about No-Pan Kissa. I'd go to Japan to personally check it out, but I only have until tomorrow to write the article. (That's why I'm rummaging through the internet for information). If you're familiar with this, or you have information about this subject, I'd really appreciate it if you'd share. I've read articles saying that they were prohibited in the 80's. But a friend of mine said that there are still some establishments operating in Ginza, Shibuya and Akihabara. If you have information, if you have an opinion, if you have personal experiences, please share. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much.

  • Clean Question about some restaurants in Japan.?

Konnichiwa. I am a writer for a Men's lifestyle magazine, and my editor asked me to write an article about the restaurants in Japan where, apparently, you can tip the waitresses to show you their underwear. Sadly, I do not have time to go to Japan to check it out because I only have until Thursday this week.

Whatever information you have about this subject - websites, your opinions about this matter, personal experiences, related articles - will be greatly appreciated. Answer wo matte iru. Onegaishimasu.

  • A good hotel or inn in Baguio?

I'm going to Baguio this May. I'd be accompanied by my date, and her friend. So there'd be three of us going there.

Does anyone know of a good hotel or inn where we can stay for one weekend (Friday until Sunday)?

I'm looking to get a room with three beds, one for each of us. (maybe on Friday night, my date and I would sleep in separate beds, and then on Saturday night I'm hoping we'd share the same bed. lol) Could you also give me a general idea on how much the rates are? Thanks. I really want this weekend to be perfect. ;)

Thank you. If you can point me to the hotel/inn's website, I'd really appreciate it.

  • Need helping sending a package to Japan. Thank you.?

My girlfriend is in Nagoya, Japan. She misses the Philippines a lot. I'm thinking of sending her a package of native "goodies" - pastries, polvoron from goldilocks, etc...

I haven't the faintest idea how i can do this. I emailed Fedex, they said they don't deliver food. It made me feel really silly. Anybody who knows how, please help. Thank you.

  • Football as part of American Culture?

Hello. I'm writing an article about football for our company newsletter. The newsletter is circulated and read in Southeast Asia.

I just need a little help. I need a casual, and if possible, personal definition of what football means to Americans. I appreciate any help you can give. I already have plenty of quick facts about football, and I just need something that's "not from the textbooks," so to speak.

    Thanks again.

  • Dreaming about exorcism...?

i have this recurring dream, more like a nightmare really... i've been dreaming about it for years, it started four or five years ago... i don't dream about it every night, just every now and then, and it's different everytime except for these elements:

    - it's an exorcism... sometimes i'd be the exorcist, sometimes i'd be the assisting priest (i'm not a priest in real life)... sometimes i'd be a person witnessing the exorcism...

    - it's always the Catholic kind of exorcism (i'm Catholic, by the way, if that matters any)

    - it's always in my house... sometimes i'd dream about my actual house... sometimes the place would look different but for some reason i know it's my house...

    - sometimes i know the person who is possessed (a friend or a relative), sometimes an object is possessed, sometimes a room in the house is possessed...

    - there's always a struggle between me and the spirit/devil (whatever you want to call it)...

  • Serious answers please. If you're gonna shot the moon, i mean literally, with a gun, where would the bullet go?

will it like actually reach the moon. or say, if you miss, will it fly on to space? or will gravity pull it back to the earth until the bullet lands somewhere, or hits someone, or disintegrates into oblivion? Thanks.
