Why is my Windows mediaplayer having trouble displaying the fullscreen view?

I am currently using Windows98 SE and Windows mediaplayer 9

Thanks in advance

Update:

I mean trouble as in:

It switches to full for a split second, then it changes back to the normal size. The picture ends up in the top-left corner of the screen, and the rest of the mediaplayer disappears.

I am assuming that you mean that when in fullscreen the video is choppy and seems to freeze or glitch as apposed to smooth playback in normal mode. If this is the case then it is because windows 98 machines have low system requirements and most machines built to run windows 98 do not have enough RAM or the graphics card memory will not support the rendering that is required for full screen playback. If possible upgrade your video card and your RAM this will resolve the issue. I hope this is helpful good luck

What exactly do you mean by "trouble?" Are you sure that Media Player 9 is compatible with 98 SE? Ok, an even better question: Who on earth still uses Windows 98? seriously? Just get XP, or, if your computer is compatible, Vista.
