Kissing the shoes of the Pope biblical?

This is not biblical. The Lord Jesus Christ was himself the humblest of men and a servant to men. He allowed himself to be beaten with a cat-o-nine-tails (which was a whip with broken glass, rock shards, or broken nails attached to the end of each individual flail), spat upon, mocked, and nailed to a cross naked (as was the custom in those times). He washed the apostles feet the night before he died, for crying out loud. Do you think any true follower of Christ would allow anyone to kiss his or her shoes? Think about it.

No common decency, just like the constitution; fine print is bound to upset the masses. Its sad, but whats really sad. I moved to the country when the boat got full; But the pope was eventually found eaten by cannibles in some deserted back road town called Lucerne.

Absolutely not! Jesus Himself said, "Why do you call me good? They may get it from the verse that says "How beautiful on the mountaintops are the feets of Him who brings good news, etc.", and they may get if from Mary Magdalene weeping, and kissing Jesus' feet and drying them with her hair. But there is no reason to do this to any man. Even the angel in the book of Revelation corrected John who fell at the angels feet to worship saying, "See that thou do it NOT! I am of thy brethren and thy fellowservant: worship GOD!" Not man! We only worship God, because only God is worthy. Only God is our creator. This is something unfortunately that catholics mistakenly do, and I mean no disrespect in this answer, because I know we all make mistakes, including me. But the bible is very clear on this topic.

No, but it was probably done out of respect. I personally regret not meeting our last pope. I am sure he was a "light worker".
