Anti Immigrant?
I'll make no bones about it i'm anti immigrant, here's why, every where i look i see different colours , different cultures, some are open and friendly, some treat me like ****, up until ten years ago i felt this was my country this is where i belong these are my people, i was even friendly with the asian shopkeeper, but now it seems like a mass invasion, where's the identity i once felt, wher's my culture went, am i racist to want the national identity i grew up with back or, is the extreme pc brigade who are ramming multi culturism down our throats just a bunch of anti white racist thugs.
To don 45 and Azim h, is that the only answer's you can come up with because, you do'nt really have an answer, or because, you know i'm right but, can't admit it.
To Strange,as hard as it may seem to your train of thought i do have a job and its full time
To J Emman, you say only when people emigrate from their home country that country is in a bad way, i've found that most immigrant apologists have argued for the current wave of immigration to the u.k. to redress the population balance as there are more leaving than coming, so by your own reasoning the u.k. must be in a bad way.

Maybe I am going to receive many thumbs down, I dont care, but i need to say my point of view. I am an immigrant. I am Italian and have been living in London for several years. I don't think immigrants threaten your heritage or culture at all. It's the political correctness that is becoming silly. I, as a foreigner, find those solutions not to offend the minority absolutely ridiculous. I have read of that prison director that forbode the staff from wearing the St. George pin, because it would offend those who weren't English. I thought this hilarious and disgusting. And you can be assured that many other foreigners laughed at this news. Who on earth would be offended by someone wearing a pin? What about the foreigner flags that are displayed on many balcony? Why do politicians thing that foreigners can display their pride and nationalism and deprive it from you, calling it racism? Isn't this hilarious? I don't think a chinese would be offended to see a british flag in Britain!!! And what about the decision to change the nursery rhyme Baa Baa Black Sheep in Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep, because otherwise the black community would feel offended? Did they actually ask to the black community whether they would feel offended by a kid's song? These are insults to people's intelligence. And believe me, these decisions are not made by immigrants. You are being deprived of your heritage just by some stupid people that happens to be in power.
CRISTINA B: In Italy they do not deport immigrants. In fact, if you would care to read a bit of italian news or even the Italian version of answer, you would find out that Italians are dangerously racist. There's no equal opportunity so, if a foreigner, even if very well educated, tries to find a job in Italy, the employer can turn him down only on the grounds of his nationality. And I think this is disgusting. Do you forget that those -- oh so demonised -- immigrants are actually people? That if they leave their country is because they are starving? Do you think that anyone would deserve to live in poverty? Do you think that people should lie down and die just because they are not wanted by ignorant extremists living in much richer countries? What if this happened to you? C'mon, use your brain!

Do they make you less english? No.
Are you still english? Yes, if that's your thing.
Other than that, cultural identities are not something you can enforce on a mass scale - the culture is by definition the composite of everything that is happening 'now'. If the identifies of other nations hadn't changed in the last 50 years, then we'd have some pretty horrible problems to deal with. Culture is also less bound to geography now - there are fragments of cultures from all countries, embedded in all countries.
I'm glad things change over time. Aren't you?

I was searching among the ranting for your question - I guess you're asking if you're a racist to want your own national identity. Well, no, that doesn't make you racist. You can enjoy any identity you want to enjoy if it feels right to you. Really, no-one else is bothered if you want to make a song and dance about being English, or British, or White, or whatever else it is. You ask, where's my culture gone, well it's all up to you! No-one else can give you a culture, it's something you have to find for yourself, and no-one is stopping you.
When you say you are anti-immigrant, that does sound racist. Why hate people just because they're different from you? What have they done to you?

"I was even friendly with the Asian shopkeeper".
That must have been a real effort for you, but you deserve praise for making that effort.
In a few years you will be dead, and every year after that until the earth stops spinning, immigration and emigration will continue. Eventually when your grave has been grown over and no one even knows it's there, a multi racial population will be walking over you.
Get used to it.

LOL
I think the ignorance is summarized by the guy or girl who said that its not ok to rear chickens and goats in youre front yard.
For a second I was thinking of a serious reply, but you cannot reason with absoulute ignorance.
Its sucjh a shame really, especially that these racists are my fellow countrymen.
suppose you got to laugh, or you will cry

It's not wrong to want a cultural identity...but one of the things I love about my country (America) is the diversity. I do understand your frustration, though. It seems sometimes as though different cultures just want to come in and use our land and profit from our economy without joining the rest of us as a community.

I have to agree on some points with you, but I blame a lot on the government in this country, after all if we went to live in European countries would we get the same hand-outs as the immigrants, the answer is No!. I know in Italy they are allowed to stay for 3 months and if they do not find work they are deported out of the country and they don't get the same hand-outs as they do in Britain (eg houes etc) I don't blame the immigrants for coming to Britain because it's the Land of Milk & Honey for them with all the hand-outs I expect a number of Brits would emergriate to other countrys if it were made easy for us.
I think I will vote BNP It's not a race thing, it's a British thing.
It's apparently a crime to want to be British and proud.

The problem is not immigration, but that we are now getting the dregs and floatsom who refuse to even adapt to becoming Americans. They only want our greenbacks, and those they want to ship home by the bucketfull. Still, those that come via the legal channels, I still stick out my hand in greeting. For illegals it is the back of my hand and the boot to the face.

jim g and montreau couldn't have said it any better. That is
exactly how the Native Americans felt 300 years ago. Some
of us still feel that way.

Im totally 100% with you Jim, im sick of the way they all come over here and act as if the laws of the land dont apply to them and look down their noses at the people who were born and bred here, and im also sick of the way the government kowtow to them, and the way if any of us complain about it were branded as racist simply because the people branding us as such dont have a valid counter to our argument
