why are some of the atheist so angry on ya?

1. We are the aroma of Christ to those who are being saved but we are the stench of death to those who are perishing." in other words our very lives and immortality offend.

2. I have sadly, seen many offensive Christians here of many denomintaions. I pray that we grow to answer Jesus prayer in John 17 that we love one another and that this is our witness.

Jesus never said "witness by browbeating people with your wisdom"

Paul said "1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing."

I'll have to agree with The Great Gazoo. My email box has to be SCOOPED out every morning to clear the clutter of conversion attempts, threats, warnings of damnation, and some messages that are so incoherantly typed and spelled that they could mean any damned thing. I even took personal family information off my profile because I had several insults thrown from Christian... uh... ADMIRERS including a threat to kill my wife. You heard me: a threat to kill my wife. From a Christian. A follower of a supposed God of love. To avoid this encounter, I had only to repent for "the hateful things" I've said "against God." How considerate! Since the only way he'd have gotten this information is either through a post of mine (I lurk this entire site, not just R&S) or--you guessed it--from my profile, off it went.

But I don't expect you to accept any of this because I said so. Look around at some of the Christian posters here. When you read something ruthless from one of them, click on their profile--you'll see much, much, more of the same nearly every time they post about someone who doesn't agree with them.

Actually, christians can be VERY disrespectful. You try to bring up your problems/questions with religion, and they start preaching hellscare and sinscare at you.

Its people like that who make atheists (in my case, agnostics) not like Churches.

It's because you agree with what they're saying. I've seen a lot of Xsters being very disrespectful.

I'm not angry. I have come across many Christians who are quick to condemn people to hell. I have news for you, that's pretty rude.

It's because true peace, joy, love, hopefulness can only come from knowing God through Jesus. Without this fulfillment anger and sarcasm is almost the only choice. Most people don't like getting made fun of or getting mocked. Atheists haven't grasped that yet

Well you should see my email box....I get told that I am going to hell at least twice a week. I had nine in one day once.

I'm not angry...and if you think disagreeing about whether or not god exists is anger, then you really have no business being here....

in my humble oppinion most of the christians I come across are angry, judgemental people who seem to believe they are Gods in there own right.
