Is Stockwell (SW8) a nice place to live? Is it safe and are there plenty of shops, restaurants, bars?

I am looking to maybe purchase a flat there...so wanted to know if its a desirable place to live. Thanks

    Hi,like all areas there a good parts and bad parts. But no need to build a panic room or to get the door kicked in by the boys in blue. The link might help you take make the right choice

    No, stockwell isn't a nice place to live I'm afraid (and neither is Clapham). They are rough areas.x

    Its a terrible place, try Streatham SW16
