What is so great about camping?

I'm with you girl. Give me a clean, warm hotel room with a comfortable bed and all the modern amenties...that's my kind of outing.

OMG yes it can be cold. You need to bring all types of clothing with you. Jacket, long pants PLUS shorts & bathing suit! The weather can change in seconds, especially if you are camping near water or the beach!!!

Night can be very chilly. Just remember to bring blankets with you!

Yes, in parts of the US, it may be cool or even cold at night. That is what campfires and warm sleeping bags are for, along with dressing in layers for warmth.

Camping is about space which for me means freedom. It can also be a great way to connect with nature, or your friends and family.

It's also about overcoming all of the challenges that the outdoors face us with, including the cold. Next time bring some fleece, have a nice big fire, and maybe a bottle of rum or something!

Everything! nature, the fresh smell, getting away from everything stressful, not having to think about anything but being there at that moment, being around the fire at night. I've been going camping since i was less than a year old, so I'm completely in love with it.

What is so great about camping? The smell of a roaring fire, being out in the woods, away from everybody, and the best part, if the sky is clear, and you are away from the city lights, the stars are incredible. It was the most enjoyable thing i remember from my time in the Boy Scouts.

I love going camping! Its very relaxing and you can just get away from all the hectic stressful stuff and just relax. And if you get cold at night just bring a portable heater :)

If you're young, you won't understand it. It's a chance to get away from everything. Yes, it is cold at night- but that's what a nice campfire is for :) Wait until you get older & then you'll jump at the chance to go.
