I work on average 8-9 hours a day at school (@7 hrs school day, the rest prep) and then on average another 1-3 hours at home and then top that with a weekend day. It can vary depending on the time of year (final exams start soon). Right now, due to final exams and prep, I get to school @7:15 (school starts at 7:35) and leave around 4:15 (after school help sessions). I only have a 40 min planning period, so that time is not worth much. I will spend my own time this summer , doing lesson plans for some classes as well as curriculum writ ting (paid). Now I go to work an hour early (I get SO much more done in the morning!) and stay only an hour late. Ocassionally (about every two weeks at most) I will have a day were I work about 12 hours.
