Lap top connected to Wireless router (linksys) doesn't recognize the printer connected to the main computer

the lap top (dell) has its own wireless internal card that pick up signals. My desktop that is connected to the main computer via linksys (remote unit) recognizes the printer. Is this normal?

Yes. it is normal if you in the same network.. in all probaility you are connecting to the same network using two different systems ( laptop and desktop)... not to worry.. if your printer is shared it will be visible to everybody in the network...
