Try unplugging your modem, then the router, then your computer. Wait 2 minutes and plug back in your computer, wait 2 minutes and plug in the router, then 2 more minutes and the modem-this "might" help...................also, check on your computer by opening up your Linksys "conection tab" and see if she is connected......................

ok I deal with these types of issues with a game server all day. The main thing the game server states: "We do not support shared ip's etc" so basically the same thing has happened to you. if you share in ip, and you have to computers. you may need a router, switch or hub to allow for multi connections. if your going to the same site like a game site often they don't allow a shared ip so you may need another ip for every computer in your home. but if your just allowing her computer to log in your network took not of this and denied your or her connection.

so if she is planing to make this a regular thing and use your connection, I would look into a router type system or even running the network manager or network setup program to auto detect if your even able to have a network within your mainframe.

The network name is probably called "Linksys" and you cannot connect to it anymore because the person you are stealing wireless from either shut his router down or encrypted his network.

Is it your internet, or you dad's? or maybe her dad's? The person who owns the Linksys router that she was using probably configured it for security. You'll have to explain to that owner that your friend uses it, and ask him for the WEP key.

Of course, if she was stealing access from her neighbor, shame on her.

no longer understanding what firewall u use, that would desire to be the place i might look, case in point you're able to could characteristic the community connection to the exceptions record, or something comparable with interior the firewall settings, or attempt and set the firewalls decrease back to a pair style of default settings. or you're able to desire to reset the router and attempt to connect lower back.
