Not sure whether you have a desktop or a laptop, but it is pretty similar. First, unplug your keyboard (if on a desktop). If on a laptop, unplug the computer, and then pull out the battery. First, run a damp (not soaking wet!) tissue over it a few times. Rub more over anything stuck on it. Use another tissue to gently dry the keyboard, then use a can of compressed air (you most likely have one somewhere, if you don't, buy one at Menards for a dollar) and spray at the under-key spots. This is what I do for both my laptop and desktop, and it works great! Good luck, dirty keyboards can be really nasty.

Turn your pc off & Unplug the keyboard, take a few paper towels and wet them (damp, not dripping wet.)with rubbing alcohol. wipe the keys clean, and use a small flatblade screwdriver to get the paper towel in between the keys. Let dry a few minutes, and plug it back in, then restart the pc.
If your really picky, you can pop the keys off, one at a time(they pop on & off pretty easy., and then take the screws out of the back and pull the front cover off. remove the electronic guts, and wash all the plastic parts in warm dish detergent. Rinse well, and allow to dry. Then re-assemble. Time-comsuming, but it will look and function like new again.
ps. It helps to have another keyboard handy for a reference as to what key goes where.

I'm told you can stick it in your dishwasher, but make sure you let it dry for a long time before you plug it back in.
