little tiny green bugs. I thought this herb was supposed to repel insects. Does anyone know what this pest could be?

Ohboy, this tells me two things.

    Aphid

    and ants.

Ants use aphids like we use cattle, they 'milk' them.

Use the soap-solution given by the first poster, you may have to do it a few times.

Alternatively, cut it right down, it's a mint and will soon be back up again, by which time the ants have found another spot.

    APHIDS!!!!

    You have aphids!

This is a great excuse to buy ladybugs!

Here are two links that might be helpful for figuring out how to get rid of them. These bugs are a pain. You have to be diligent.

You can use tobacco juice to do IT to boil some tobbaco, use the water in a spray.
