I am the Costumer at the largest costume shop in Western Washington. I maintain and construct costumes for this company. I also do custom work. I recently completed a costume for Sanaki, and Medieval styled garments for a bride and groom. www.perfectpartycostumes.com I'm also the costumer for Zenzi, a Seattle burlesque troupe of six performers. Zenzi performs a type of Burlesque that you might call "meta-burlesque", introducing short film segments to enhance the live performances. Their performances thus offer more complete storytelling with character and plot development. It's more like a multi-media storytelling experience with lots of fishnet stockings.

  • Where are all of the catnip farms?

There are many, many catnip toys available and there is a lot of catnip going into theses toys. I know that 'nip is easy to grow, but I'm wondering this: who grows it? Are there catnip farms? Do you know any catnip farmers? What states grow and export catnip? Where are all of these cat nip toy makers getting their bulk supply?

  • I think that these gloves are from the US Navy. What would they be used for?

I think that these gloves are from the Navy. What would they be used for?

These beautiful gloves have gold bullion embroidery and are made in a soft white leather. What branch of military are they from? What are the gloves used for? They obviously have a special purpose.

  • I need tips for doing fiberglass repairs?

It's been a long time since I've done any fiberglass work, and I could use some advice and pointers.

I will be repairing some expensive costumes made of plastics (Halo Master, Ninja Turtle, mascot heads) and I think that fiberglass is my best bet. The repairs won't be visible, so I don't need the finish to be tidy or smooth. Do you have any pointers? Are there specific products that you like to use?

  • what is the medical term that means you haven't had a baby?

I'm pretty sure that there is a term for this condition or situation.

I keep remembering the prefix "ovi", but the words that I remember with this prefix relate to live birth, or carrying the fetus within a placenta or uterus.

  • Have you heard the Particle Physics Rap? ?

Have you heard about the rap song that was created about particle physics? It's quite entertaining. It's like a modern, home made take on the Schoolhouse Rock series that was teaching punctuation, math and grammar in the 70's and 80's.

    Search words" Large Hadron Rap"

Here is a YouTube link. :

  • Does anyone care that I've costumed an entire burlesque show?

I've spent months working on this project, figuring out how to make or alter clothes so the performers can pull them off with a quick gesture, revealing their pasties and glittery under panties. The show runs August 21, 22 and 23 at ACT Theater in downtown Seattle. Would anyone like more information? Have you seen a burlesque show?

I was just looking at the files on my hard drive, and the file format is .m4a

  • What is it about Burlesque that makes it so much fun to watch?

I watched a great burlesque show last night, and will go to more shows any time I can!

I was wondering why they are so entertaining. You know they are going to take their clothes off, that's a given, so I think that the surprise has a lot to do with it.

I think that the cleverness and humor is also an important part.

    What do you think?

  • Does anyone else think that Zahi Hawass is really annoying?

Zahi Hawass is Egypt's "Secretary General Of The Supreme Council Of Antiquities". You've seen him on various Discovery Channel shows. He's the guy who dominates camera time, stating either things that are completely obvious, or sometimes making statements that contradict a comment that a previous expert just made.

I really enjoy reading about the archeological finds in Egypt. I just wish that the official spokesperson wasn't such a buffoon.

    This is his official website:
