I think that these gloves are from the US Navy. What would they be used for?

I think that these gloves are from the Navy. What would they be used for?

These beautiful gloves have gold bullion embroidery and are made in a soft white leather. What branch of military are they from? What are the gloves used for? They obviously have a special purpose.

I keep trying to post links to the images, but YA won't let me. I am happy to send links to the images if you contact me. These gloves are really unusual and beautiful and I really want to know what they would be used for!

    Odviously for ceremony. If it's white it is either navy or marine.
