Okay I have two for you.... Its not the white cheese but there both great with tortilla chips and cheap to make too. Take hormel chili with a block of velveeta and let it simmer in a crock pot. Its delishhh.. Also one of my faves, get cream cheese spread shredded cheese and hormel chili... Layer your pan or tray. I always do a bottom layer of chili, then the cream cheese then more chili and top it off with shredded cheese. Bake it for a few or even microwave it. Its awesome!!!! let me know it you like... =) hope i was a little help

Well I'm not really sure where you are from, but I'm from Cincinnati and one of the things we are famous for is our Skyline Chili. It's a meat based chili and is awesome, but I think you can buy it in stores nationwide. Anyway here it goes:
Layer it in a baking dish in this order:
3 Bars of Cream Cheese
1 Can Skyline Chili (or chili from another brand)
8 oz. of shredded cheddar cheese
Bake in oven at 350 until cheese is melted.
Serve hot, cool or cold.
It is sooooo good!!

A really great tasting and simple recipe is mixing 8oz's of cream cheese with a small bottle of Pace Picante sauce. It's delish and you can use mild to the spicy depending on what you like. Just blend it together and ready to serve.

Layer...
1. can of refried beans
2. mashed avocado

4. cheddar cheese

Note: You can add taco seasoning to the refried beans, but you said you didn't want a taco dip
*This dip works well w/ Fritos Scoops
