There are a lot of over the counter drops that you can use, including genteal and refresh brands. I'd recommend staying away from Visine because it works in a way that is not healthy for your eyes long term.

You may also want to see your eye doctor because prescription drops may be more effective for you, and there could be something else causing the dryness.

If you go to an ophthalmologist it is possible for him to evaluate your condition to see if you would be eligible for plugs in the tear ducts. This is a very simple, painless procedure done in the office, but it will keep the tears you do produce in your eyes and not exiting through the tear ducts. It should help. Also at night you can put a gel into your eyes that will keep them better hydrated at night. It goes in just before you close your eyes to sleep. It is a special product just for use in the eyes. Any drugstore should have it.

get Genteal at the pharmacy, my eye doctor highly recommended it and it worked rather well. I also found out that i had allergies with the only side effect being dry eyes (strange i thought) and for that the eye doc said to buy Opticrom it works wonders. Both are available without prescription.

my eye doctor gave me some eye drops for dry eyes called ALLERGAN-Refresh-liquigel.

In my case I spend too much time tarring at my computer screen that I forgot to blink.

Since you are blinking a lot, maybe it's best to go have it checked out by a doctor. But mine said I need to squeeze my eyes strongly once to get some fluid back into them.
