Looking for a certain tortilla dip recipe...?

I'm looking for a recipe my mother used to make. It had a layer of seasoned ground beef, a layer of cream cheese and a layer of shredded cheese. It might have had other stuff in it... I'm not sure. Does anyone know this recipe?

Sounds like a layered taco dip.

    INGREDIENTS

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1 (16 ounce) package small curd cottage cheese

1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix

    1 teaspoon lemon juice

    2 bunches green onions, chopped

1 (2 ounce) can diced black olives, drained

    1 tomato, chopped

    2 cups shredded lettuce

    2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

    DIRECTIONS

In a medium bowl combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, taco seasoning and lemon juice.

In a glass bowl or on a serving platter, layer cheese mixture, green onions, black olives, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese.

    or

    INGREDIENTS

1 (16 ounce) can refried beans

1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix

1 large tomato, seeded and chopped

    1 cup guacamole

1 cup sour cream, room temperature

1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

    1/2 cup chopped green onions

    1/4 cup chopped black olives

    DIRECTIONS

Spread refried beans in the bottom of a (1-quart) shallow edged serving dish (you can use a transparent dish if you'd like). Sprinkle the seasoning packet over the beans. Layer the diced tomatoes over the beans, the sour cream over the tomatoes, and the guacamole over the sour cream. Sprinkle the entire layered dip with cheddar cheese, followed by green onion and finishing it off with a layer of black olives. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

we eat this all the time in San antonio. its called 7 layer dip.one layer of each:refried beans, taco meat, sour cream cream, guacamole, salsa, black olives and sherdded cheese on top.The cheese on top is a light layer.Never put the meat on bottom as this will not hold the dip togeather.Keep in fridge over night to set and enjoy!!!
