  • Senior Citizen Internet Access?

My grandmother is 87 years old and has never been on the Internet. She doesn't have a computer and her eyesight isn't good enough for me to buy her an iphone or other small device. Are there any good products out there that allow senior citizens like her to access the Web, other than a laptop or PC?

  • Looking for a certain tortilla dip recipe...?

I'm looking for a recipe my mother used to make. It had a layer of seasoned ground beef, a layer of cream cheese and a layer of shredded cheese. It might have had other stuff in it... I'm not sure. Does anyone know this recipe?

  • I'm looking for a toy from the 80s and can't remember the name?

Does anyone remember an electronic toy from the 70s or 80s. It was a letters game and it would say "find the letter a" in a robotic voice and then you would press the letter "a" and so on? I thought it was Speak and Spell, so I paid more than $50 on eBay for one only to find out that it's not the toy I was thinking of.

Does anyone remember this game and know the name of it?

  • Question About Nanny's Behavior?

I have a nanny/housekeeper who works in my home approximately 20 hours a week. She's been doing things that irritate me, but today she did something that was just plain odd.

She and my five-year-old were playing and my daughter accidentally called the nanny by the dog's name (names are very similar phonetically). The nanny started pretending she was a dog and actually licked my daughter's face two or three times.

I know how ridiculous this sounds. I assure you I'm not making this up or trying to be a smartass. That is exactly how it happened.

My husband found out and he wants to fire the nanny. He said that behavior is unacceptable and he doesn't want someone like that in our home.

I think it is definitely odd behavior and that we should address it with the nanny, but I think flat out firing her without any notice/warning is a bit harsh.

What would you do? Fire the nanny or discuss your concerns with her?

  • Do I have a split personality or what?

I sometimes find myself agreeing with liberals and at other times I find myself agreeing with conservatives. I decided to take a test to see exactly which side of the line I fell on.

    ***Your Political Profile:***

    Overall: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal

Social Issues: 75% Conservative, 25% Liberal

Personal Responsibility: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal

Fiscal Issues: 0% Conservative, 100% Liberal

    Ethics: 25% Conservative, 75% Liberal

Defense and Crime: 100% Conservative, 0% Liberal

How Liberal Or Conservative Are You?

The results sure do explain a lot -- but now I'm wondering just how screwed up I really am...

  • Question Regarding Black Pride/White Pride Shirts?

I want open and honest thoughts and opinions on this one. Do you think it's okay to wear a shirt that says "Black is Beautiful" or "Black Pride"? Also, do you think it's okay to wear a shirt that says "White is Beautiful" or "White Pride"? Now, once you've answered these questions, what do you think of a shirt that says "Black is Beautiful AND SO IS White"?

  • What's Your Opinion Of Car Dealerships That Don't Invest in a Web Presence?

Do you think they're not as good as dealerships that do, or do you think it doesn't really matter?

  • Does a car dealership's website make a difference?

If you're looking to buy a certain make of car and you notice that there's really no difference between one dealership's website and the website's of their competition (same exact "About Us" page, same exact content on the home page, etc...) would it matter to you? What type of impression would it give you about the dealership?

  • I'd love to hear your opinion on this one...?

I'm usually not this childish, but I really need to make an exception just this once. Do me a favor and look at this guy's profile and tell me what you think...

Please, don't answer unless you actually read a few of his questions. (I know some people will be tempted to answer based on looks alone.)

  • Why do so many African Americans resent Caucasians?

Why is it that so many African Americans resent Caucasians? During the course of my life, I have heard many African American people making racist remarks against white people and I have seen a lot of animosity towards Caucasians from African Americans. Some people have said it has to do with slavery. The fact of the matter is -- I never owned a slave, my parents never owned a slave, my grandparents never owned a slave and I don't think my great grandparents did either. In fact, not a single African American alive today was ever a slave. That being said, why do African Americans still use slavery as an excuse to feel hatred towards white people? Is it possible that African Americans have more of a tendency to be racist than Caucasians do in today's day and age?

  • For those with an I.Q. of 130 or higher only please?

Seriously, only reply if your I.Q. is 130 or higher... I'm trying to figure something out.

    1. What is your view on illegal immigration?

    2. What is your view on President Bush?

    3. Do you think the intelligence of Americans in increasing or decreasing?

  • What is happening to our country?

I'll admit it, I'm in a bad mood. Some jacka** on this website really riled me up today and I'm probably suffering from a bit of PMS. That being said, I'd like to toss something out there and would really appreciate feedback from intelligent people (intelligent meaning an I.Q. of at least 110 or 120 -- the higher the better).

    What is happening to America?

I just took a look around and realized that the majority of the people in this country are seriously lacking brain power (as is evidenced by many of the Q & A's on this website).

Is it just me, or is the intelligence of our society rapidly declining? People just seem all too willing to run their mouths off in support of idiotic ideals and when you call them on it, they have absolutely no good answers to give you.

So... do you think the idiots of the world are just breeding faster than those of us with higher intelligence or is there something in the air?

  • For those in favor of illegal immigration...?

If you're one of the people constantly bashing those who are against illegal immigration, tell me this...

    1. Do you think it's okay to break the law? If so, should I not have to pay a speeding ticket or a parking ticket if I get one? Should I be able to steal witout fear of repercussion? Should murderers and rapists be allowed to break the law without paying the consequences?

    2. Why are you so angry with the Americans who are against the violation of an important law?

    3. Can you honestly say that illegal immigration doesn't hurt legal American citizens in any way, shape or form?

    4. Can you honestly say that illegal immigration has not contributed to increased rate of identity theft?

    5. Do you think compassion should supercede the law?

    6. Why do so many in favor of illegal immigration throw the "race card" towards those who oppose it and if you are one of these people, since when did the supporting the law have anything to do with being a racist?

    Help us understand.

  • Answer this -- if you dare.?

Tell me this... How does being against ILLEGAL immigration make me a racist? Please note... I am NOT against LEGAL immigration. In fact, I fully support those who legally immigrate to this country. So I really want to know. If you can prove to me that the fact that I oppose the violation of a law makes me a racist, I will take back everything I have ever said about illegal immigration.

Let the show of ignorance begin...

  • Race-Related Question - Very Sensitive Topic?

Let me start out by saying this has nothing to do with personal beliefs, feelings, etc. I am conducting research for an article that involves the discussion of the differences (and lack of differences) between African Americans and Caucasian Americans. There are some "points of topic" I need to contest in the article in order to support the theory of a lack of difference between the races. If you could provide me with an intelligent way to explain/refute these points, I would greatly appreciate it. (And please, I am looking for INTELLIGENT comments that either refute or support these points, meaning comments based on fact - not opinion).

    1. The 15-point difference between the average IQ of African Americans and Caucasians. (Research has already proven it has nothing to do with education/environment.)

    2. Some African Americans insist on resenting Caucasians & DNA testing proves that 30% have a partially-caucasian lineage.

    3. The concrete DNA differences between the two.
