How do I get my speakers to work again?

When I boot up, my speakers tell me "computer booting up" because my motherboard is hardwired to do so. But, after that, they won't play any sound, though my usb headphones will. I've rebooted, checked all the plugs and the c-media driver, and told windows to update all my drivers. Windows tells me everything is fine. What do I do next?

Probably because you have an intergrated sound solution. If not then a faulty sound card. I would suggest you replace it. You can get a good Creative sound card for $30.

Source(s): Try going to newegg.com or tigerdirect.com for sound cards.
