What's a podcast?

All podcasts are free. A podcast is like a radio show that you can put on your iPod. There are thousands of podcasts on iTunes and to listen you must subscribe. Unlike on the radio, podcasts are not live. For your first podcast I would suggest the Catfish Show!

A podcast does not have to be a video. A podcast is a radio broadcast put on by anyone from your average Joe to a more famous DJ. Most people basically just record anything from blogs, to music, to news. They are located on iTunes, specifically in the 'store' section, although they do not cost anything to 'subscribe' - which is to download and listen to.

There are MANY podcast, ranging in many different topics. Just go to iTunes, click on the store, and on the left side, it should have a category for 'Podcasts'. There, you can browse by topic, or search by a keyword/name.

For most podcast, consider it Talk radio in MP3 form. However, there are video podcast, and they don't have to talk about anything. Some are for entertainment (like, TikiBar...).

Simply search for a hobby or topic you are interested in, and there is a good chance that there are many podcast out there for you to listen to.

Don't forget to make sure that iTunes is set to upload the podcast onto your iPod...
