The truth of the matter is no, you are required to give a "specimen" but they only are checking for diabetes.

YOu wanting to know gives me pause, if you are a drug user,

please, please, stay out of my airspace!!!

No, FAA medicals of any class do not contain a drug test. Only employers or some flight schools will require it. Any time you take a drug test you must sign documentation and be explicitly notified prior to taking it. When you take the FAA medical you will take a urine test, but it's not a drug test. Congratulations on getting clean.

Here’s the bottom line. If the doctor has a reason to think you may or have taken an illegal drug they can and will have you provide a sample. In most cases the doctors will not.

If you are involved in an incident or accident with an aircraft the FAA CAMI a CSI group at the FAA located in Oklahoma City may request a drug test. If you refuse a drug test your medical certificate is pulled until compliance. If you are found to have a drug in your system you will be banned from aviation for life no questions asked.

You can go the any search engine and type in CAMI and read it for yourself. Drugs is one crime that should never be in aviation and we shouldn't even have to answer questions about illegal drugs, Legal drugs are a different issue.

No FAA medical includes a drug test. It is not a part of the program. Drug tests are done by the company you are hired for or randomly by the FAA if you are a commercial airline pilot. All three classes of medicals are identical exams. What separates the classes of medicals is simply how long they are good for before you need to take them again.

Bottom line - no FAA medical includes a drug test.

I've heard people we've hired at the airline ask, "When will I know if I passed my drug test?" Really.

If you ask this question, I don't want to fly anywhere near you. Even if you actually are NOT a dug user, flying is about good judgement. You have demonstrated anything BUT good judgement.

You might be able to save money by buying a bus pass instead of buying tickets individually.

They check for blood in the urine and Ph.

Cut down on the drugs you're not taking.

yeah its included in the physical, and if you are on drugs and asking this question you have no place to be flying....
