Fantasy football what are your top 5 RB's?
I have 1 LT 2. Steven Jackson, 3. LJ, 4. Frank Gore, 5 J Addi
I have serious questions about S Alexander, he was injured last year and in the off season this year someone leaked that he was not 100% which he later dismissed. What are your opinions?

1. LaDainian Tomlinson (since he's not on the cover of Madden)
2. Steven Jackson (offense really started to go through him after the bye week)
3. Shaun Alexander (old, but not playing all of last year reduces the wear-and-tear on his body)
4. Larry Johnson (has to be here because of how good he's been in the past two years, but I'd stay away from him because history is against him)
5. Brian Westbrook (definitely deserves a spot...after McNabb got injured, it was him, not Garcia, who took over)
Honorable mentions:
Joseph Addai (no platoon in the best offense)
Frank Gore (amazing talent, but needs to show the same level of play for some more years before I take him this early)

1. LaDainian Tomlinson- 'Nuff said
2. Steven Jackson- Awesome talent. Has a great QB to keep the D honest, and one of the best out of the backfield (90 receptions last year)
3. Larry Johnson- Major concerns with his overuse (set league recorde for touches last year), the O-line falling apart, and the QB situation in KC. But simply has too much talent not to be here.
4. Joseph Addai- He his the number #1 back in the best offense in the league. Very talented and versatile. Only rookie last year to go over 1K yds. and he did that splitting carries w/ Rhodes.
5. Travis Henry- Many will laugh at this placement, but his performance last year was overshadowed by Vince Young at QB. He is now in Denver which makes average RBs good. Imagine what he can do. Biggest worries are just how good Cutler is (he should be fine), and if he'll split w/ M. Bell (probably not).
Shaun Alexander simply has too many questions surrounding him, Frank Gore has some injury concerns and has been inconsistent (should still be a top-10 back), Willie Parker has the talent, but will likely fall just short of top-5 b/c of new Coach, and new offense.

Top rated backs in my league are
1. LaDanian Tomlinson
2. Larry Johnson(for now)
3. Frank Gore
4. Steven Jackson
5. Clinton Portis
Honorable mention, Joseph Addai, Laurence Maroney, Reggie Bush, Marion Barber, Thomas Jones, Willis Mcgahee and do not forget Edgerrin James, if the Cardinals offense reflects the teachings of the Cowher disciples, Whisenhunt and Grimm, Edge should have 1400-1500 yds, 12-15 tds, and 45-60 receptions, and supplant LJ on the top 5. Shaun Alexander has to stay healthy to be rated in the top 10, and is projected as a late round safe pick in my league, from what I gather.

As a Chiefs fan it pains me to drop LJ out of the top 5. KC lost too many OL to still rush the ball like they used to. Looks like there may be more of a focus on passing the ball there. Gore and Tomlinson are probably the only two who'll benefit from retaining most of their OL. Alexander is still solid as long as Holmgren is still in Seattle. Reggie Bush would be a nice pick as well. And Jackson will easily have a 1000rushyd, 500recyd, 17+TD season.
So, here's the Top 5:
1. LT
2. Gore
3. Alexander
4. Jackson
5. Bush
6. LJ

i think that I would have 1 LJ 2 LT 3 Steven Jackson 4. Mcgahee just because he will be in Baltimore and we all know they can't really throw the ball and 5 would have to be Addi although I think that if he gets the starting job outright I think that Maurice Jones Drew could be in there in addi's place. I think you are right on Alexander too I don't think I would consider him even in the top eight anymore I think he is more like 10 or 12 on my list.

1. LaDainian Tomlinson
2. Larry Johnson
3. Steven Jackson
4. Willie Parker
5. Shaun Alexander
I would put Gore in there, but he normally doesn't get red zone carries therefore he gets less TD's. Parker should be top 5 because Pittsburgh runs the ball so well and he is their main man at RB and he DOES get the ball in the red zone. Tomlinson obviously is number 1. He is probably going to be one of the best backs of all-time. I think Addai is overrated. Jackson is good running and receving the ball. He fits well at number 3.
LT hands down number 1 and should be the number one overall pick in almost every league this upcoming season.

Steven Jackson is no way the 2nd best RB in the league. LJ has to be second. Look for Frank Gore to lead the league in rushing this year.

I don't think gore will be their next year, nor Addi, but I do agree with your first 3. I think Alexander will be in the top 5 next year. He ran for 600 yards in the last 5 games. My wild card pick is Willis meghee. New team that likes to run, and a solid line and he's a stud !!
