Christians - Jesus died for your sins...?

You are correct, it doesnt matter when Jesus came because we would all react the same. I have always blamed myself and always ask for forgiveness, this is why my purpose here is to serve Him as a missionary. No matter what I do, it will never make up for my sins, however I do it because I love the Lord.

A follow-up corollary... 1. If the pain Jesus felt was for our sins, then some of the pain was for each person who has lived, because everyone is defined as a sinner in the Christian faith 2. Can a perfect God who runs the universe ever do anything in vain? No. 3. But some of those sinners will not be saved. Not everyone believes in Jesus as a saviour Therefore, some of Jesus's pain was for nothing. It was in vain. 4. [crickets chirping] So apparently, he must just have suffered for those who believe in him, right? So, as a non-believer, my sins did not make Jesus suffer any. So, I don't feel so bad about not being a Christian.

God sent Jesus to Earth to die for everyone's sins, even yours.

There are those that blame the Jewish people for the crucifixion, but if Jesus had not willingly went to the cross, I would not be forgiven. The Lord knows everyone before they are born, including me. He knows that we are fallen because of the sin of Adam and Eve. He knows that we are incapable of not sinning. I know that if Jesus had not died for my sins, that I would still be dead in and because of my sins. So, yes, everyone who has sinned, is about to sin, or is sinning, is responsible for Jesus going to the cross. Every breath is a possibility for sin to happen for everyone. Satan did not want Jesus to go to the cross because if he had not, then Satan would have been victorious and all would be lost forever.

Sadly, there are those that feel that if Jesus had not gone to the cross that the world would be able to succeed on good works alone. As a Christian, I don't believe this to be true. I take my sins against Him to Him daily in prayer and ask His forgiveness. He is just in forgiving me. I also try very hard to ask forgiveness of those that I wrong.

Even worse, you are correct that there have been those that use some of the scripture as an indictment against the Jewish people for the death of Jesus to further hatred, antisemiticism, racism, and killing in the name of God.

It is not a matter of "you all," it is a matter of those that have used the scripture to their own ends and agenda.

Sad that you are willing to die a second, spiritual death for your own sins when you don't have to. You have absolute forgiveness available to you, yet you are willing to let it go.

I hate to tell you this, but Jesus didn't just die for "my" sins, or for other Christians' sins. Whether you accept Him or not, He died for yours as well.

The debt is paid. All anyone has to do is accept it.

And by the way, there is not a single person on the face of the earth that has never sinned, except perhaps a baby. And yes, sins as children (before we knew better) DO count!

I keep wondering. Our universe is quite big and scientist predicted there are about 100 million million civilization. There must be being that have the same intelligent as us or higher.

Does that mean Jesus died for their sins too? Or probably Jesus went there and was killed again and again? Then god must be very cruel. Or could there be another god's son over there? That makes god has a lot of sons which makes god kind of like zeus don't you think?

Christians do not blame Jews, Romans, or any one else. Jesus died for the sins of all people from the beginning of time to the end of human life. Every person who ever lived is responsible for the death of Jesus, not just one or two people groups, EVERY PERSON.

yes I admite he died for my sins and therefor I am responsible but he died for your sin also even if you reject him. saying that he came willingly to die for our sins even he told pilot you have no control over me but what I allow. I am greatful for his sacrivice and know he must have suffered.

He died for everyone, even you! The responsibility was His own. He freely chose to suffer all your pain so you can trust Him to help you be happy! He made it possible for you to return to live with Heavenly Father again! He loves you! I know that you will one day kneel at His feet and bathe His feet with your tears because of the gratitude you will feel for Him and what He has done for you!

Jesus forgave the people that crucified him, as they were doing it.

Jesus didn't BLAME anyone, and the religion is not centered around putting blame on any specific person or group of people...it is about FORGIVENESS.

You misunderstand Christianity.

How true.....it was me! It was my sin.....and yours....that killed Jesus. How wonderful a thing GRACE is! How awesome a thing MERCY is! We are ALL guilty. The great thing is....HE died for ALL. I blame no one but myself. I judge only me. My sins killed Him. But I know He was willing to take ALL OUR sin, past present and future, because there was no other way, and that God Loved us so very much.

I am loved, even though I don't deserve it.
