What was the last lie you told? Are you glad you told it or do you regret it?

When a co-worker asked if I could tell she'd lost weight. I said yes. I knew she'd been going to the gym, and I felt her self esteem needed a boost. So, no, I don't regret my answer.

Well, I didn't really say the lie, I convinced someone else to do it for me. I came up with the best way to get out of a crappy situation and now I'm off for the next three days.....I was supposed to babysit for someone who didn't bother to call me all last week when I specifically requested a return call, last night the woman called me and left a message on my cell phone telling me she wanted me to come in later, so I had my fiance call her and tell her that I was out of town for the week and that I had tried to get in touch with her the week before to tell her (I really had tried to get in touch with her, but not for that reason). The lie was more in retaliation for her having been rude by not returning phone calls until she needed something from me. I am glad I did it, because I'm not being used right now. I think I would only regret it if she called me on it or saw me in public sometime this week.

"Oh well. It's okay." (It was not okay. I was having a minor emotional meltdown while being locked out of a building I really needed to get back into so I could finish up my work for the day and go home.)

I'm glad I told it. I calmed down and then everything was actually okay. Complaining about it more wouldn't have helped anything.

The last lie I told was to one of my ex-friends. Do I regret it? Not much. She deserved getting 'something' thrown in the ditch.
