Tennessee 101: Info and Comments?
I noticed some wrong information about Tennessee. I live in
Tennessee and have been all around it. Let's get the facts straight:
WEST TENNESSEE:
1. Not beautiful, unless you find ugly, used cotton fields or wide open brush fields beautiful.
2. West Tennessee is, for the most part, NOT an urban area. Sure, the Memphis Metropolitan Area is here, but it is only 10% of West Tennessee. The rest is a maugepauge of uninteresting towns sub-5000 in population.
3. The people in West Tennessee are very uninviting. If you weren't born here, you are invisible to everyone else.
4. #1 in TN for STD's. ICK!
5. West Tennessee will be affected very soon by I-69. Maybe this will enrich development.
6. Culture here = NASCAR/Sports and nothing fun for teens to do.
7. Oddly, there are many Starbucks..
MIDDLE TENNESSEE:
1. Growing, polished; a model for the rest of the state.
2. They get great music acts and there's alot of culture.
EAST TENNESSEE:
1. Snobby and boring.
2. Sunsphere!! :P

I do agree with most of the statements on West Tennessee. That is why we have three stars on the flag...we have 3 very different areas of the state. However, I have travels over most of the USA and other countries and Tennessee is one of the most beautiful in the USA. Most people from middle thru East Tennessee are very friendly, although not as educated in some country areas.
Sounds like you are not a sports fan, if you were they would be a Vols statement. If you don't like Tennessee orange, you will not like much.
The mountians are wonderfull, Nashville has the music, Tennessee has the sports, great location to most of the USA, low taxes, no state income tax. And above all else Tennessee has some of the most beautiful women with a shape compared to other states.
