Dad's Birthday Gift Ideas!?
My dads birthday is two days before Father's Day. He has been through a really tough year and I want to do something special for him. However, I am pretty near broke. As the oldest of four with no mom at home, I feel responsible for getting the gift. Any ideas for an inexpensive but thoughtful gift?
He is a hardworking guy that enjoys swimming in our pool and working on cars, he is not much of a sports fan.

I'll bet time spent with you would be the best gift. Make a nice picnic lunch and go to a park, beach, or woody area. Take a frisbee or football to toss around. Take some old pictures of you when you were little to look at together and laugh about. Show your dad how much you appreciate him. Make it a very special day he will remember.

Instead of buying something for him why not make something with your own hands for a change?
He would be elated if you do it. Try making a simple greeting card with all your family pictures on it or if you are good at sewing, or carpentaring or something like that do make him something.
The though that his child made something for him with their own hands and worked on it for a few hours instead of going to a shop and buying a gift within ten minutes would make him more happy than ever.
Good luck =)

Give him a card and something that is close to his favorite sport like a ball or a pic of the family. Dad's love that stuff. Just as long as he knows you remembered!

you should get a huge frame you know the ones with tons of slots in them and fill them up with pictures of you guys and have everyone write something sweet in the margins. here is an example of the frame :

Make him something that he will be able to hold on to forever. Such as a picture frame. I gave my dad that for xmas once. i got a picture frame from the store on sale for around 8 dollars (or you can get one around your house) then find pictures of you you sibling and your dad. It is a cheap and really cute idea. Hope this helps

You can invite him to go out to have dinner together. This way both of you can spend time together. Take him to the restaurant he really likes and you can have the waiters to sing a happy birthday song for him!!!.

as long as u don't get him a funky tie i think he'll be happy.
buy some cheap craft materials and make him something that will always remind him of your love and support of him.
remind him of what a great dad he is.
make him a good meal, give him a shoulder rub.
good luck!!

Buy a cake and surprise him. buy him flowers.
For gift, you can buy a parfum or buy something for his car or men's clothes like a shirt. or a gift card from a men's store.

this would get any parent...
if you have any pictures of you and /or your sibliings when you were kids available, gather the pictures together and get a frame and create a collage from the pictures.
