okay.. when watching a video on the right hand side underneath the description for the video there's like a URL thing and an Embeded thing
what is the embeded thing? like are you able to copy it somehow and put it on your user page? or why is just there?

embed is u can copy it in myspace,friendster or whatever...and when u paste it... that movie that u selected shows in ur user page.

What you see is HTML code (the language used for websites like this) to use the YouTube video on a website. Depending on which service you have a user page from, ways of putting a video on your site may vary.

the URL is to copy the link onto a web page.
the 'embeded thing', as you so aptly put it, is for stuff like MySpace.
it's to put the actual video on the web page.

If you use the embed code, you can post anywhere that supports HTML so that the video can be visuliazed on that website. For example, myspace.
