RAM memory sticks and Hard Drive Data storage are 2 different things and don't affect each other. you will lose nothing by changing RAM.

No you won't lose everything on your computer.
Storage is seperate from memory.
Storage > Hard Drive
Mem > RAM modules
never forget it
whatever you didn't save is gone
if you saved it it's there
