Worst hotel room you've ever stayed in?
I'm getting ready to go on vacation, and was just looking at some reviews for hotel rooms and was surprised by how many hotels have horrible reviews about dirty rooms and bad service. Luckily, I've been going to the hotel I'm staying in for many years and I know I'm not in for this type of treatment, but what's the worst/dirties hotel room you've ever stayed in??

A small hotel in Amsterdam. I'd stayed there in the past, but it was under new ownership. They put in me a tiny room, neglected to tell me there would be construction starting next door at 8:00 AM--and that the construction would send all the cockroaches over to my room.
Plus, there was a small circus in town, and they parked their animal van outside my window. I was serenaded by a camel all night.

super 8 a/c didn't work, shower handle fell off in my hand ,and they had glass coffee mugs that had mold in the bottom . When I complained at front desk the woman tried to be helpful, but there was no manager in the building. I wrote to the company and never heard a word back from them. since I now live and work close to the hotel I tell everyone of my experience there.

In 1994, I flew to bypass to a pal in Southern California. Her boyfriend on the time replaced into not keen on visitors, and the sole place everywhere close to her i could discover the money for to stay replaced into this truck provide up off I-5 that had surely not something different than 2 resorts (certainly one of which replaced into hotel 6) and a Denny's, someplace around Barstow/Victorville. not the rest yet desert for miles, and that i had no motor vehicle to bypass everywhere. I stayed on the single that wasn't hotel 6 reason it replaced into extra fee-effective (do not even bear in mind the call of the region anymore, yet I bear in mind the adventure). besides there being fleas in the carpet and on the curtains and the bedsheets being stained, the sole 2 television stations that had any reception in any respect have been the close by information broadcast station (or maybe that replaced into fuzzy) and the hotel-owned porn channel (which got here in sparkling of direction yet have been given incredibly boring after the 1st hour or so). I bear in mind the telephone rang early my first morning, even though it replaced into not my pal...it replaced into some random guy offering me oral intercourse. It replaced into torture having to stay there 3 days with surely not something to do different than examine the books i might luckily delivered alongside...I purely have been given to work out my pal approximately an hour out of daily (lower back, because of the fact of her overbearing boyfriend). i could not ever bypass away the room for terribly long because of the fact it replaced into unbearably warm exterior and that i might stupidly forgotten the two my go well with and my sunscreen (thank god the region a minimum of had aircon!) and ended up going residing house with incredibly some flea bites. Ick. Oh, and between the nights a coyote relatively ventured as much as my window and scratched on the glass, scaring me to dying. i wouldn't in any respect been happier to get out of a place in my life.

I remember one time my ex and I stayed at a motel in San Diego. We woke up to a lot of construction noise and at about 9:30 a.m. a construction worker knocked on the door and asked if we could check out so they could work on the room. I told them that I payed for the room and did not have to check out until 12:00 p.m. and that was when I would be checking out. Wow, that really pissed me off and we've never used that motel chain again.
