Two possible things might cause this. It is possibly a yeast infection, but since you have no discharge it is probably not it. Since you said you have shaved recently..it is probably irritation from the razor you used, or the shaving cream and/or soap you used as a shaving aid. My best guess though is that after you shave your pubic hair, when they start to grow back they make you itchy and uncomfortable. I hope I answered your question and that you feel better soon!
If it worsens, see a doctor!

I know that you have so many answers but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Urinary Tract Infections are a normal problem for many women. In fact about one month ago i had one with your same symptoms. I got a UTI after sex. I took all natural cranberry pills and OTC Urinary Pain Relief tablets with lots of water. That didn't work so i went to the natural food store and bought myself 100% all natural concentrated cranberry juice for about 25$. Pretty expensive but so worth the money because the next day, my UTI had diminished. It really does work. You don't have kidney stones. But if this doesn't work than def go to the doctor (gynecologist) and get a PAP smear. I did get one after my UTI was gone and i also had a yeast infection. This could be another cause of a UTI. Do some research and look up how to prevent them and about the bacteria that cause them. Take care of yoursef and have a great day.

Is it itchy only where you shaved, or all inside? It could be razor burn in that case. Try some baby oil, neosporin, solarcaine, and/or men's aftershave to cool and soothe that area.
It could be a urinary tract infection if the itch is all inside. I get them all the time, and they are MISERABLE! Does it burn at all when you pee? Like right after the stream stops? Does it feel like an emergency but then you only go a few drops? That's usually the tell-tale sign I get. UTIs requre treatment with antibiotics, but the topical creams that come in the yeast infection kits help with the burning. Holding a heating pad down there can help ease the itch enough to help you sleep. Also, it's important to drink lots of water to keep your plumbing flushed, and cranberry juice can help with that too.
I hope you feel better!

The redness could be related to the shaving but it also sounds like you might have a yeast infection going on. I would recommend seeing your dr to confirm this possibility before trying to self treat.

If you have a new sexual partner it could be crabs or some other STD or maybe you should just switch body washes. I f it doesn't go away in a few days then call your doc.

Consider allergic reaction to soaps or detergents. Trying any new bath soap, or laundry detergent lately?
