How do I get a 2 days layover in amsterdam and do I need a transit visa? what's the requirements?
I want to get a 2 days layover from my way to US from Nepal.
I did some work and found out that I would need shengen visa(Indian nationality) which requires health insuarance and stuff so I guess, its just not worth it for 2 days. Need to plan a longer vacation.. thanks ya all.

Re visas it depends which nationality you are, contact the Dutch embessy. This is a good place to start. http://www.iata.org/ps/publications/tim.htm it is the Travel Information Manual. Very costly but all travel agents have one, pop into a travel agent and ask if you can look at the TIM. you answer lies here

US nationals do not require a visa to stay in the Netherlands for a maximum of 180 days.
