Eureka Springs, Arkansas?
Can anyone tell me about Eureka Springs? Is it a small town? Are the people nice? Are there any job oppurtunities? Would starting and raising a family be easy there? Any other information would be great.

It's an amazing town...built right on and into native rock in the 1890's as a summer resort, steep streets full of great little crafts, art, fudge, toys [a whole store devoted to FROGS!] and some really neat places to eat. There's the old historic district [see above] and up above the steep streets, places to stay, country music 'barns' for nite-time shows, and at least one really plush old hotel. Job opportunities are primarily seasonal--hanging on the tourist trade in summertime and during the Christmas shopping season. Google up 'Eureka Springs' and check out local/regional newspapers for the classifieds. Well worth visiting for sure, and definitely a safe, clean and comfortable part of the country to raise a family in...jobs, well.....!

I am from GA but i have been there quite a few times. I don't know about opportunities there but the people in that part of the US are the nicest i have ever been around. We go camping at Buffalo National River about an hour from there. Shouldn't be too hard to find work with all the touist spots in the area.
