How well the Houston Texans will do. Do you agree what I say the statement below?

I dont know that. Texans has bad GM who doesnt make good decision. He blames David Carr for the failure, even though the oline wouldnt black(how many time Carr got sacked) and on top of that madness there is only one target( Andre Johnson) and the defense is okay if they want to play and be consistant. He think dumping Carr and getting a guy who barely start and play when either Vick is injuried or the last game of the season is going to improve them. The GM this offseason didnt get any good oline or WR or any offensive playermaker( Ahmad Green is not a playmaker he fumbles and get injuries easily but is better than the RB they current have on the roster). GM just got one good player on defense with Okoye. If Texans have a bad season, if I was owner I would fire the GM. GM gives the coaches the talent and weapon while the coach works with what he has

I'll start with your statement. Totally agree with you on everything. The GM is looking for scapegoats. Since Carr wasn't the most attractive pick as peoples favorite players, he blamed the losing seasons on him. Can Carr be successful? Yes. Did the Texans' front office and coaching staff let him? No. I mentioned coaching staff because as soon as Carr took a couple shots, which didn't take too long, they would run, run, run the ball with that crappy offensive line. They didn't give Carr enough plays for him to succeed. Maybe Carr was calling his own shots cause he didn't want to get hurt, but from my point of view it's the coaching staff.

As far as acquisitions go, you are so right about Ahman Green. I am a Bears fan and have gone to 3 Bears-Packers game with Ahman Green as the Pack's starting running back, and guess what? Green had at least one turnover in all three of those games (2 were fumbles the other was an interception on an HB Pass, lol). He wears those rubber pads on his arms and I'm curious as to if those help or hurt him carrying the pigskin. He needs a good offensive line to do well and he had that with Rivera and Clifton and that good O-Line the Pack used to have and now he's on the Texans, O-Line's don't get worse than that (sorry if you are a Texan fan). Okoye was a nice pick, and they did a good job snatching DeMeco Ryans, but 2 good acquisitions out of a hundred the past 2 years isn't very good. Totally agree with you, fire the GM.

For how the Texans will do. Let's break it down shall we?

Week 1 vs. K.C.- W, at home against a weak defense

Weeks 2 at Carolina- L, Panthers' D is too strong for that O-Line

Week 3 vs. Indy- W, beat them twice last year, Addai might struggle early on in the season anyways

Week 4 at Atlanta- W, Vick won't be there and Ahman Green does have solid games in domes.

Week 5 vs. Miami- L, against that Miami D and going against Ronnie Brown may be too tough.

Week 6 at Jacksonville- L, hmmm Marcus Stroud and John Henderson vs. the Texan front 5, I'm not going there

Week 7 vs. Tennessee- W, easy win

Week 8 at San Diego- L, at Tomlinson's home turf against juice man Merriman and that tough D, sorry no chance

Week 9 at Oakland- W, don't see any trouble

    Week 10- bye

Week 11 vs. New Orleans- OT/L, Texans have good day offensively against Saints' D, but lose 41-38 in OT

Week 12 at Cleveland- L, It's that one game every year a team loses to a team worse than them. Brady Quinn will have 1 of his only 2 good games and lead them to a tight win

Week 13 at Tennessee- W, maybe Young keeps it close

Week 14 vs Tampa- W, Tampa's D is old and offense is weak

Week 15 vs Denver- L, Broncos D too good and young Cutler will have big day

Week 16 at Indy- L, ain't gettin the champs twice

Week 17 vs Jacksonville, L (look above)

Overall: 7-9, decent year but Colts will win division

I see Houston improving to 6-10. They'll play better than 6-10 but will lose a few close games, since they are playing in the AFC and 2 of their games will be against the Colts. Matt Schaub will operate well in Kubiak's offense.

Its a shame, i think a lot of people are pulling for the Texans. But it may be another half decade before they reach .500.

Realistically i will see it taking place. until the Colts draft a QB early contained in here few years they would be beginning Jim Sorgi, and the Titans would be beginning Vince youthful and he hasn't shown that he's any stable yet. Jacksonville would not have the protection to maintain up with Texans offense. And with Schaub and Johnson nevertheless able to play for a stable sort of years that's totally possible that they are able to win the branch in some years.
