My network adapter on my laptop constantly loses connection...?

This has just started within the last month and a half, I thought it was just the wireless they had at PJ's coffee, but then I brought it to my friend's house and it did it from his router too. I have also been getting hardware errors from it. I have run a diagnostic thingy on it, system restores, new drivers, and I think that's it. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Oh, sometimes it will stay up for an hour or more, other times it will lose connection 5 times in as many minutes.

Depending on your operating system, it might be incompatible drivers. You should download the most recent drivers for your hardware from the manufacturer's website. Also, there might be interference from outside sources such as a microwave, monitor, cell phone and other devies. Lately, and this is true, sunspots have been wreaking havoc on a lot of electronic equipment, especially the one's that use radio waves.

There are a number of causes, including the failure of the internal adapters. I would start by doing a complete reformat and reload of all the operating system and then install the wireless software, check how it operates, if the problem persists at least you know its the laptop. If it does not happen again, re-install your other software again, and check after each install to make sure that there is not another culprit thats causing it. If it all works great.

depends on the frequency of your wireless router and your house phone, for example if your router's frequency is 2.4 ghz and your house phone frequency is 2.4 ghz then everytime the phone rings ,your connection drops, it happened to me until i changed the house phones and problem solved!!!
