Parents' 25th Wedding Anniversary Ideas?
My parents' 25th wedding anniversary is coming up... my sister and I don't have the time or resources to throw them a party, but we'd like to do something special for them. They are taking a train ride to Washington DC about a month after their anniversary to celebrate, so we thought maybe we could get them some stuff for their trip.
So far, we've come up with matching "Happily Married to <-- / --> for 25 Years!" t-shirts to wear on the train (or whereever). Any one else have any ideas?
I know the t-shirt idea sounds kinda cheesy, but they'll like it :)
Also, they already have a very nice digital camera. They're both pretty technologically intelligent and have lots of gadgets.
All family members and close friends live across the country since we moved. A party just isn't do-able right now although obviously we'd like to throw them one...

I actually like the T-shirt idea! And also the buying the digital camera idea. You can also get some nice camcorders fairly cheap these days.

For my mom and dad twenty fifth this summer season, I obtained a maintain of a number in their marriage ceremony pics and obtained copies made. I placed the copies in a scrapbook (a million or two in line with web page) and placed tags on every web page. I obtained all their peers and loved ones to put in writing messages at the tags. I desired so as to add pix from earlier than and after the wedding however there aren't any snap shots of my dad at a tender age so I could not.

I think I'd nix the t-shirt idea. They'd stick out like a sore thumb. Do they have a digital camera? If not, I'd suggest getting them one to capture everything from there trip. I got my mother her first one for Mother's Day, right before she went to Phoenix and Chicago and she's taken more pics with that than I have with my newest one I received at Christmas. Besides...most digital cameras are silver in color - the 25th anniversary is the silver anniversary.

I would skip the T shirt idea- you might as well print ROB ME on them.... not good.
Can you set up for a gift cerft for them do something while there?? Eat, Spa, for a really nice store??
Even if you got them a gift cert for something like Tiffany's that would be something to remember!!

You SHOULD be throwing them some kind of party for family and friends, at whatever kind of level you can do it. Even if it's at someone's home, they deserve that celebration! Have family members help with making food and planning, but you really should be giving them that special recognition.
