My sentiments exactly, it is an all too frequent modern tragedy. Rest in Peace Jonathan.

The bloke who stabbed the policeman wants hanging. Isnt this another case of arming our police force. I think its time the death penalty returned.

My thought are with the family right now. May you Rest in Peace

I saw it on the news, its a real shame that he died protecting the public, a real hero. My sympathies to his wife and kids, a copper like that shouldn't have died.

the brits as you call them, would have been quietly commemorating her memory and all of the good she achieved in her life if it had not been for dodi's father and his unshakable belief in a murder plot. of all of the ways that a "hit" could have been arranged a car accident to kill a back seat passenger would have to be the least reliable.

it is a tragic waste of life and i feel sorry for the boys family but routinely arming the police is not the answer it will just encourage criminals to carry fire arms it takes specialist trainingand not all officers could use them we dont want any more botch ups like the youn man murdered by the police on the tube his life is no less valuable to his family. and as yet no one has or will be charged for that hideous crime

    Absolutely agree with you.

It's a very sad situation, and we need stronger sentences to deter people from carrying knives.

My thoughts are with the family of this brave policeman.

    Good night and God Bless.

We had a police officer shot dead a few months ago in Shrewsbury. That was so sad too. I know what your community is going through.
