Mini Amplifier?
Has anyone any suggestions for a mini Amp..?
I have a couple of outdoor Bose speakers and a I would like a small, cheap amp to drive them - the input would be a headphone output from a MP3 player.
Thanks for the responses..(I do take the point about the Bose's - but the were already there). I am just looking for a cheap amp to increase the headphone output to give a half decent output from the speakers.. please any ideas - or websites (useful ones please...not "try bestbuy.com)? Thanks

Depending how quick you need the amp try ebay and try for one with the largest range of inputs and outputs you can afford there are bargains to be had out there or you can trawl charity shops and car boots but only pay what you can afford to throw away as lots of people sell stuff that do not work to get rid of it

You have bought Bose speakers and you want to spoil the sound with a cheap amp? If you've splashed out that much at least go for something semi-decent like a Marantz. If you go a bit further and get a waterproof enclosure, you could get pretty much anything going nicely.
Don't spoil the ship for a ha'pen worth of tar.

check the bose specs and work backwards
(impedance and capacity)
you'll need a splitter cable out of the headphone jack to the amp. radio shack has em

You should be able to just go to Radio Shack and ask them about a jack or cord you could use for this. We did this at a block party the other day and I think we sued some sort of cord. We were listening to music on an iPod.

the input from a mp3 player isn't going to work.. your going to have to find a radio that you can put in a mp3 player
