Has the mayfly hatch started yet on Lake Erie?

I am going on my annual fishing trip in two weeks to Port Clinton, OH for walleye, and we always seem to have some Mayflies hatching when we are there. Have they started yet? I know the fishing has been outstanding, but I am worried about the bugs hatching. Hopefully they will be done or close to it when we get there.

I don't believe the mayflies (Canadian Soldiers) have hatched yet but I have seen several muffleheads around. I've heard that we're supposed to have a large hatch this year.

no idea....But I was born and raised in Ohio....done my share of walleye fishing too...Great eating!! I became an avid muskie fisherman..looking for the "big one"....until I moved to Alaska...fishing up here is NOTHING like I ever have done....until you pull in a 40lb+ king salmon or a big ol'halibut...Man you need to do this!!! for halibut come up mid may.....for kings...they are just starting to run the rivers now....save up and come take the trip of a lifetime!!!
