How is church going like drinking?
I recently thought how similar the two behaviors were and was wondering exactly how they are alike and what might their connection be?

We will ignore for the moment the people who actually do their drinking *in* Church. (The Eucharist and red necks, I'm staring at YOU!)
Otherwise, the comparison is easy!
1. Both of them you really need to do at least once a week to be considered "serious" at it by your neighbors.
2. After Church, you donate your money. After drinking, you have no money. To your wallet, these situations look much the same.
3. After several hours at either, I usually fall asleep.
4. The phrase, "Oh God" is often chanted rhythmically during and after both activities.
5. The singing is always off key. During both events, the singing is often lead by the same man, often the pastor's brother in law, or just the pastor.
6. Finally, drinking is a great excuse to see things in your pancakes and to speak in strange, non sensible tongues. Need I say more?
