In football can a defender go beyond the half line? Please answer my question.?

There are no rules on the defenders position. Of course they can go past the half line they can even get up into the attack. The only reason they mostly play behind the half line is because of the rule offsides. If all defenders are over the half line a forward can stand on the line and have the ball kicked to them for a breakaway. When the defenders are past the half line the line acts as the second to last defender. By all means they want to prevent goals so they usually stay back/

Yes he can... and the attacker can go where the defender is
But usally they stay behind to protect the ball from scoring a goal so thats why u dunt see them going beyond the half line

Definitely! I've even seen a goalie take the ball all the way and score a goal!!

Yeah that can dude all players but the goalie are aloud beyond the hald line....

Hey of course they can.There were some cases even the goalie go up front.Definitely it would be better if they stay behind to guard their goal post. Eventually its up to their manager.
